Quirky Kid celebrated at the London Book Fair Awards

Quirky Kid are thrilled to announce that they have received the Educational Initiative Award at the prestigious London Book Fair Awards. The annual fair is one of the world’s biggest publishing trade events, where publishers and distributors assess the competition and negotiate global rights.
Quirky Kid is the only Australian publisher to take home an award. The Quirky Kid team describe the experience of receiving such recognition on the international stage like no other and are proud of their team for being recognised for their creative efforts, especially when their work is of significant social impact and importance.
This award represents the international recognition of the important work conducted by Quirky Kid in enhancing the delivery of educational resources for mental health for children and young people.
The award judges commented: “Now more than ever children and families need resources like Quirky Kid’s Basecamp. This engaging, child-centred approach would make a real difference in building children’s resilience”.
Basecamp, launched earlier this year, is designed for children aged 7 to 12. It includes a workbook, props and cards – as children work their way around the national park map they learn relaxation techniques and other ways to reduce anxiety and manage its impact on their lives.
