iA Summer Session Intake

Applications for the next intake at iAccelerate have now closed. We were pleased to have received more than 20 applications from the start-up community and look forward to announcing the new resident companies in the near future!
In addition to our external start-up companies, after the successful pilot of the School of Computer, Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering (SECTE) / iAccelerate Internship program during our 2016 “summer session” we will once again be welcoming approximately 40 students this year – doubling our pipeline in 12 months.
With a mix of local and international students we will see an entrepreneurship and industry focused offering meeting the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences and University of Wollongong overall strategy for integrated work placements. Giving students the ability to take their ideas further is creating a real pathway that future students can believe in and follow.
New to this years “summer session” we will be welcoming Master of Business (MBA) students from University of Wollongong’s Sydney Business School who will be available to undertake projects to support iAccelerate businesses while completing the requirements of their degrees.
This is an amazing benefit for iAccelerate companies to having an MBA student undertake research related opportunities and challenges they may be facing in their company.
