iAccelerate residents GenSpeak were chosen as the winners of the National iAwards PitchFest in the Undergraduate Students category while representing the University of Wollongong.

They pitched their innovative solution to a social issue in front of industry leaders and a live audience. After being declared a winner of the State iAwards, the finalists from all Australian states got the chance to compete against each other. PitchFest is an opportunity for iAwards finalists to showcase their innovations to an expert panel of industry judges. 

The leading awards program for technology, AIIA iAwards, celebrated it’s 25th year in Melbourne at this year’s National iAwards. Other award categories included Business Service Markets, Community Service Markets, Consumer Markets, Industrial & Primary Industries, Infrastructure & Platforms, Research & Development Project, Public Sector & Government, Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, Big Data, Startup, Innovation of the Year and the Victoria State Government Inspiration of the Year.

GenSpeak is a unique and exciting upcoming platform that is all about connecting people through the beauty of language. GenSpeak is being designed to be a fun and easy way to provide a truly immersive experience for people wanting to practice speaking a language, wanting to share their language and culture or just wanting to tell and listen to stories all in a face-to-face environment.
