iAccelerate’s Innovation Network expands to Bathurst’s startup hub, Upstairs.

Entrepreneurs in Wollongong and Bathurst will now have more resources to create high-growth businesses. Upstairs, a startup hub in Bathurst, has joined the iAccelerate Innovation Network, allowing entrepreneurs in both regions to tap into each other’s expert networks and workspaces.

“The reciprocal desk sharing partnership with iAccelerate opens a new network that provides a huge leg-up for the Upstairs members to be able to work in new areas, explore new opportunities and tap into an even greater ecosystem.” said Abbey Bell, Upstairs Startup Hub Community Support Coordinator.

This expansion of the iAccelerate Innovation Network builds on the regional and global partnerships iAccelerate has established in the past year.

“Combining Upstairs’ experience in the Central West and iAccelerate’s global network, this will be the next step for iAccelerate to build a vibrant regionally-focused startup ecosystem” said Omar Khalifa, iAccelerate CEO.

Already, the benefits of this network have been seen in Bega, NSW, where 15 new companies have been created, using iAccelerate’s education program and networks (story here).

This year, iAccelerate’s innovation network has also extended to Startup Lisboa in Lisbon,  Da Nang Business Incubator in Vietnam, and Hatch in Colombo.
