Aussie Books for Zim are working in collaboration with UOW Careers Central on the iUnivative programme. iUnivative is a collaborative, student consultancy program co-organised by Careers Central and iAccelerate.

It is designed as a team-based competition for UOW students to exercise their skills to provide best solutions to address a certain business challenge.

Aussie Books For Zim have given both teams a challenge to develop a sustainable fundraising plan. The plan will contain purposeful actions that aim to achieve specific fundraising goals from a diversified group of sources, and be data-driven from start to finish. The teams will produce a business report followed by presentations which will be judged by a panel of judges from Aussie books For Zim. This event will be followed by a presentation of certificates to the winning team and a networking event for students, iAccelerate residents and Careers Central Staff.

Aussie Books for Zim have also had a huge win in securing a 20 ft shipping container that will be used for storage of all our books collected in Wollongong. They would like to thank Nine News Illawarra for running their story early this year. As a result, Big Fat Smile offered them a shipping container that was sitting on their premises for some time. Be on the lookout for more collaboration with Big Fat Smile in the future.
