iAccelerate is excited to partner with the UOW Alumni Relations team to bring you our virtual event, Inside Innovation!
Join us for a conversation with local innovators from our residents as we explore what it takes to be an entrepreneur in these current times. Hear from three start-up founders, as they share stories and lessons learned around building successful companies from the ground up. This is your opportunity to get an insider look into innovation.
The event aims to inspire a conversation around entrepreneurial pathways and opportunities that may be available to people wanting to explore entrepreneurship and innovation in their own lives. Sometimes all it takes is a spark (and a lot of hard work), to turn an idea to reality!
MEET THE PRESENTERS
CEO of tappON Maryanne Harris co-founded the business after her husband’s spinal cord injury and their firsthand experience with support and care workers. They’re now working on their second business, RoboFit, transforming rehabilitation using exoskeletons for people with SCI or stroke survivors.
Nathan Harper, founder of Comply Ahoy and Finlert has over 18 years of experience in systems development, focusing on building and operating large scale software-as-a-service products in publishing and the regulatory and compliance space.
Michael Burton is connecting the world through IoT. The co-founder and CEO of iAccelerate resident company Binary Beer develops smart keg technology that reports live temperature and location data from out in the field to automate the supply of draught beer. They’re now solving industry-wide IoT challenges using their home-grown sensors and reporting platform with Binary Tech.
Our moderator is Leanne Connelly, Chief Executive Officer of award-winning company Me3D—a Wollongong-based education startup focused on 3D printing and STEM Education. The company has recently launched the desktop version of their flagship software platform: BuildBee.
